The Australian cricket team is without a doubt at the top of their game and this places them head and shoulders above everybody else. The Australians are playing like a team, everyone has a responsibility and are performing. With so many talented players still playing the bench Australia could field 2-3 teams of high calibre. Over the past 12 months the Australian cricket team has been involved in some interesting contests. The played hosts to the West Indies and defeated them easily. They went to India and lost one of the greatest series 2-1. The Ashes was next and Australia managed a 4-1 win over there to retain the Ashes. After a well-deserved break they started a double header home series against New Zealand and South Africa. The New Zealand series was eventful to say the least, it saw the Kiwis come within a whisker of winning a rain plagued tournament 1-0. The first of three tests against South Africa has been played and Australia are currently leading that 1-0. I know it is not just me but how irritating is Brett Lee starting to become. When he started taking test wickets early in his career he would jump in the air and kick his legs about. A few years later and he is still jumping about, the only problem is that he carry on that way even if he got one of the three tailenders out. Brett get over it and pull your head in.
